Insurrection

Cruz was one of the Senators who riled up the crowd, inspiring the insurrection in Washington on January 6^th.  He marshalled a pack of 10 Senators to refuse to certify the election of Joe Biden.  He spent months spreading “The Big Lie".  Leaders in Texas know he's crazy, and are trying to pressure him to resign. But there's no reasoning with crazy.

21 Hours of Crazy

Cruz spent 21 hours on the floor of the Senate to force a government shutdown over funding for Obamacare. He droned on and on about nonsense from Dr. Seuss to White Castle availability in college towns.  He then denied it ever happened, even though there are records to prove it happened.  Antics like this spurred John Boehner, the former Republican Speaker of the house to call him “Lucifer in the flesh” and a “reckless a--hole who thinks he is smarter than everyone else.” You know you've lost it when fellow Republicans can't stand you.

Lest we forget: Cancun Ted

While millions of Texans were without electricity and running water and his home state was experiencing freezing temperatures, Cruz decided to take his family to Cancun for a little vacation. To add insult to injury, he then bold-face lied to the American people, claiming his intention was to just drop his family off for a long planned vacation and then return to Texas.  We know his original return ticket was for days later and acquaintances forwarded text messages of the Cruz’s planning the trip only days in advance.
